Community Events Area

Address : Shakespeare on the Saskatchewan Festival Site - 948 Spadina Crescent East

The Community Events Area is normally home to a whole host of events including Community Stage performances, Medieval Feasts, Sunday Teas, Chefs on the Saskatchewan and private pre-performance gatherings.

The main activity is a free series of events on the community stage every summer, providing opportunities for artists and community groups to share new material with our patrons and the public. Our stage has featured all sorts of performances over the years including Irish dancers, play readings, spoken word poetry, bands, hoola hoopers, fire dancers, and many more! The Community Stage is the central hub for our Community Series Events featuring 80 - 100 artists in more than 50 performance time slots throughout the season.

In 2021 we are pleased to announce the John Rayner Community Series.  This will be a scheduled set of performances, readings and chats occuring in our community events area and at other locations in downtown Saskatoon. Stay tuned for a full list of events coming in the early summer of 2021.

The 2021 Community Series is sponsored by John Rayner, Senior Wealth Advisor, Scotia Wealth Management and funded in part by Sask Lotteries through the City of Saskatoon Community Grant Program.
