    Announcing Our New Artistic Director!

Shakespeare On The Saskatchewan is thrilled to announce the appointment of their new Artistic Director Kayvon Khoshkam. We are certain that Kayvon will usher in a new chapter for our theatre festival that will be vibrant, fresh and incredibly exciting for our community. Originally from Saskatchewan, but currently hailing from Vancouver, he will be working remotely during the month of July, and begin in-person in August, with his first public appearance being at the opening of Iago Speaks on August 6th.

    A message below from Kayvon:

I left Saskatoon when I was seventeen, unsure of who I was, where I was going or what I wanted to do. I eventually found myself on a path with the Canadian Theatre, and it is with great excitement and gratitude that the same path is now bringing me home. I am sincerely looking forward to the opportunity of being a contributing creative force for our community, and to learn and work alongside the incredible people of Saskatchewan.

Kayvon Khoshkam (he/him) is a Canadian director, actor, producer, writer and musician. He was born and raised in Saskatoon, SK. He is a graduate of The Canadian College of Performing Arts with a focus on playwriting. He founded the Pull Festival: Vancouver's 10 minute play festival (2012-2019), and was the Artistic Director of SpeakEasy Theatre (2016-2021). In 2015, Kayvon had the honour of being a member of The National Arts Centre's English Theatre ensemble. Kayvon has worked across Canada, the United States and overseas.
