A week of touring the Northwest School Division
By: Angela Christie
Category: In the NewsWhat I will remember most about this past week is how welcoming, kind, and generous everyone at the schools have been. We started the week in Goodsoil, then travelled to Green Lake over lunch on Monday, we stayed in Glaslyn all day Tuesday, then Neilburg on Wednesday, and Hillmond on Thursday. Tomorrow we head to Marshall and Turtleford. Despite hearing many times that some students may be too shy, or hesitant to participate, I experienced none of that. I have been on 6 school tours, so I know students usually like to see plays, but I think what makes this program extra special is that the students are the ones doing most of the performing, so they either get to play a part themselves, or they get to watch their classmates up on stage. Their excitement brings me joy!
Next week: Saskatoon Christian School
Later in April: LaLoche, Buffalo Narrows, and Cumberland House

My nephew, who is 8, saw the presentation in Neilburg and LOVED it. I teach high school ELA and was so delighted to hear him say, "Mom, did you get us tickets to Richard III this summer!" Super cool!
